全国大学外语教学研究会和上海教育出版社经与全国各省市大学外语教学研究会协商决定，于2003年5月至10月联合举办“全国大学英语写作大赛”，欢迎我校非英语专业的在校大学生（含专科生，不含研究生）踊跃报名参加。鉴于预防“非典”特殊时期，不便组织大规模的考试，经研究决定，我校的初赛采取征文的形式举行。参赛文章必须自己撰写，不得抄袭或找他人代笔，否则，一经发现，将取消参赛资格。希望参赛选手于八月十九日以前将参赛稿件连同参赛费一并交宁夏大学外国语学院杨晶燕老师收（联系电话：2061513或2077071），逾期将视为无效。初赛入选名单将于下学期开学后在教务处网页上公布，初赛入选学生将于9月13日（星期六）上午10点参加在西北二民院举行的复赛，时间为60分钟，要求字数不少于300词。复赛将决出全区特等奖2人（参加全国决赛），一等奖、二等奖、三等奖若干名，复赛各项获奖证书均由全国大赛组委会提供。届时，获得一、二、三等奖的选手，教务处还将奖励任意选修课两学分。
